Our daughter, Nadezhda, was diagnosed in May 2010 with Dravet Syndrome at age 3. It is a rare and severe form of epilepsy. This blog is for updates on our lives, our thoughts, and feelings. Everyone needs a voice, and here, ours may be heard.
Also, while epilepsy is often misunderstood, Dravet Syndrome is altogether unheard of. We would like to be informative about Dravet Syndrome and supportive for others dealing with similar circumstances.

The Swing Thing!!

CAUTION:  DO NOT BARF

These are spiny and twisty videos of my kiddo in her new swing!  She loves it so much.  It has been really great for her.  The point of these swings is to provide entertainment, exercise, and sensory input in an appropriate way!  Recently her speech has started to improve.   Supposedly it may be due to this swing.  There is a correlation between sensory input and speech!!



For those of you thinking about getting a swing, I have done lots of research about the best/least expensive equipment to get.  I will post some links below:
