Our daughter, Nadezhda, was diagnosed in May 2010 with Dravet Syndrome at age 3. It is a rare and severe form of epilepsy. This blog is for updates on our lives, our thoughts, and feelings. Everyone needs a voice, and here, ours may be heard.
Also, while epilepsy is often misunderstood, Dravet Syndrome is altogether unheard of. We would like to be informative about Dravet Syndrome and supportive for others dealing with similar circumstances.

BTW

So after 2 people had questions about who Drake is I figured I should clarify.  Drake is our dorky dog!  He is about 1 and 1/2 yrs old.  We got him at 3 months old.  He is pomeranian, poodle, and i swear he is some terrier too!

He doesn't shed, he is house trained, he is sweet, but he barks too much.  He is playful and plays really well with Dezh.  They wrestle.  He is patient with her but I am not sure that he considers her a human.  He will sit on her or walk over her.  It is kind of funny.  He also freaks out and barks like crazy when anyone comes to our door, or if we are out and about he barks at other dogs or strangers.

We love Drake although I want to punch him sometimes!  Don't worry, I don't punch him.
